Within this role you will work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse to provide a high standard of patient care at our Mount Vernon Cancer Centre.

Main duties of the job
You must be 18+ to undertake this post.
Some of the responsibilities within the role of Clinical Support Worker are : Communicating with patientsWorking under the supervision of a Registered Nurse / MidwifeWashing / dressing patientsTaking patients physiological observationsMaking beds and cleaning bed areasServing meals and assisting feeding patientsTalking / listening to patients
The Trust can also offer you a flexible career approach to learning which comprises of a "step on" and "step off" option.
This is a training post, while applicants must undertake 16 months apprenticeship.
Applicants will be invited to part take in an online diagnostic assessment of Maths and English in relation to the apprenticeship
All Clinical Support Workers are based on Hospital Wards / Departments and will be working Days, Nights, Weekends and Bank Holidays.

ENHT is seeking to maintain and expand the Mount Vernon Cancer Centre staff as we move to an exciting new future.
We welcome applications from those who would relish the opportunity to be part of new and developing cancer service, building on the excellent reputation, research and patient experience the Cancer Centre already delivers.
In addition, you will receive a High Cost Area Supplement of 15% of your basic salary,
subject to a minimum payment of £4,108 and a maximum payment of £5,177per annum pro rata.

Qualifications & Training
Essential
- To undertake Apprenticeship Programme within fixed term contract
- Minimum level 1 qualification in Literacy and Numeracy
Desirable
Basic education GCSE Grades A-C or equivalent in English and Maths.
Previous Experience

Previous experience in health care setting
Skills
Essential
- Ability to communicate in a variety of settings with patients of varying levels of understanding
- Self motivated
- Flexibility and team participation
- Basic IT skills- ability to use keyboard or willingness to develop
