About the Role :
- Deliver engaging and stimulating PE lessons across the curriculum for Key Stage 3 (Years 7-8) and potentially Key Stage 4 (Years 9-11), adhering to the National Curriculum.
- Create a dynamic and well-resourced learning environment that promotes participation, enjoyment, and a passion for physical activity.
- Contribute to the ongoing development of the PE curriculum, ensuring it aligns with the school's vision, national requirements, and incorporates the latest advancements in physical education.
- Motivate and inspire students of all abilities, fostering their confidence in physical activity and encouraging them to develop their skills and sporting potential.
- Plan, organize, and lead extracurricular sports clubs and competitions, providing opportunities for students to engage in physical activity beyond the classroom and develop their leadership and teamwork skills.
- Play a key role in school events, such as sports days and inter-school competitions, fostering a sense of school spirit and community.
- Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate effectively with PE colleagues, other departments, and the wider school community to deliver a holistic learning experience for students.
The Ideal Candidate :
- A qualified PE teacher with a demonstrable track record of success in engaging students in physical activity.
- Excellent subject knowledge and a passion for inspiring a love of sports and movement in students of all abilities.
- Strong pedagogical skills with the ability to deliver innovative and effective PE lessons that cater to diverse learning styles and promote inclusivity.
