This pivotal role will operate in a hybrid capacity out of one of our offices near Leamington or Guilford where the successful candidate will have the opportunity to work alongside some of the most visionary minds in the automotive field.

What's the opportunity :
Reporting to the Strategic Sourcing Manager Electric Powertrain & Digital Systems , you will be responsible for supporting the strategic direction and the commercial management of Electrical Distribution System (HV & LV Harnesses) commodity.
What you will do :
- Responsible for the negotiation and completion of Production Supplier Contracts within the assigned commodities.
- Supporting and managing the negotiation and completion of Production Supplier Contracts within the commodity.
- Partnering with Engineering, Quality and other support functions to develop the supplier strategy and ensure we are using the leveraging with best technology, cost and quality.
- Conducting and evaluating assessments of potential Suppliers and work with the Engineering Partner on the creation of Sourcing recommendations.
- Developing and maintaining supplier relationships, including supplier evaluation and risk management.
- Ensuring that the Supplier can fulfil Programme targets, including timing, cost, quality, technical attributes.
Requirements
Who you are :
- Procurement / Purchasing experience, within manufacturing / production-based environment (desirable).
- Exposure and experience in negotiation.
- Strong influencing skills with experience of creating and maintaining networks across all levels of the business.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to build strong relationships.
- Understanding in developing structured commodity strategies.
- Basic understanding of QAF analysis.
- Eager to learn from Experienced Senior Buyers.
