Main duties of the job

This is an opportunity with the Chief Medical Officer and team to improve our patients outcomes, experience and access to care.

This role will support delivering change projects,





working alongside services across the organisation and clinical, managerial and operational teams.

The team also work with external partners including public health teams, the ICB and local providers to deliver improvements for our population.

The post sits within a small project team, with strong support and collaboration to deliver on our aims, We are also aligned with the larger transformation team, bringing opportunities in training and learning from peers.

This is an exciting time to be joining the team as we review the UHS clinical strategy ready for re-launch in 2025. There will also be the opportunity to work on new and important programmes focusing on health inequalities and prevention.

Job responsibilities

Working alongside divisional and care group colleagues,





the post holder will be responsible for a number of projects aligned with the Trust's clinical strategic objectives.

They will need motivational skills, working closely with colleagues at all levels in the organisation, clinical and non-clinical and where appropriate the wider healthcare community.

They will need experience in influencing behaviour, in often challenging situations

The post holder must be able to encourage and enthuse others to implement change

The post holder must be well motivated and able to work using their own initiative with minimal direction.

This role requires some knowledge and experience in the application of service redesign, project management and Quality Improvement tools and techniques.

Person Specification

Qualifications / training required

Essential

- Degree or equivalent experience / diplomas






- Knowledge and application of a recognised service improvement technique
- Evidence of further training / study

Desirable

- QSIR Practitioner
- Project and change management training
- Knowledge of more than one transformation methodology

Previous or relevant experience necessary

Essential

- Project management experience
- Facilitation of meetings / groups
- Experience at junior management level
- Evidence of leading and implementing change, influencing behaviour, collaborative working with others
- Evidence of structured project management skills and experience
- Literate, with report writing skills and experience

Desirable

- Experience in healthcare setting
- Evidence of some project management support experience






- Action learning set experience
- Coaching experience
