Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging Geography lessons in accordance with the school's curriculum
- Educate students on a wide range of geographical topics, including physical geography, human geography, and environmental issues
- Develop and implement creative teaching methods to enhance students' understanding and enjoyment of Geography
- Assess and evaluate students' progress, providing constructive feedback and guidance for improvement
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and share effective teaching resources
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that fosters mutual respect and encourages student engagement
- Maintain accurate records of students' attendance, achievements, and behaviour
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification
- Proven experience teaching Geography to primary / secondary students
- A deep knowledge and understanding of geography concepts, theories, and current trends
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills,
with the ability to inspire and motivate students
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- A commitment to continuous professional development
- A positive and adaptable approach to teaching, with the ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners
