Job summary
A vacancy has arisen for a Nursing Assistant at the Edgware Kidney Care Centre Dialysis Unit. The unit is part of the Nephrology department based at Royal Free London NHS Foundation in Hampstead.
The unit is based at Edgware Community Hospital and is very near the tube and bus services.
Experience of working as a healthcare assistant is desirable but other relevant experience will be considered. Good communication skills , flexibility and a high standard of work are required for the post.
There are opportunities to develop skills and knowledge tocomplete haemodialysis competencies with a named mentor.

Job responsibilities
- As a member of the multidisciplinary team the post holder will contribute to the delivery of patients individual care under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse.
- Perform a full range of manual and clerical duties.
- Supports registered nurses in the provision of a safe and caring environment.
- To practice in accordance with Trust standards and statutory requirements and operate within the boundaries of the role and assessed competencies.
- The Nursing Assistant has the opportunity to develop within the role and undertake further training and development.
- To act as a role model for student nurses and colleagues.
