Job summary
Clinical and Care Professional Leads support south east London-wide and borough programmes of work, therefore, there is an expectation that you currently work within south east London, and for borough based roles, within that borough.
Clinical Effectiveness South East London (CESEL) provides a systematic evidence-based approach to quality improvement, to help to improve health outcomes for local residents across SEL and build a successful Integrated Care System (ICS).
The programme brings population health management and learning together, to form the basis for personal, organisational and system development,
and continuous improvement in operating model is underpinned by SEL-level clinical leadership while allowing for local ownership and shared economies of scale;
working flexibly to deliver ICS and local priorities.
CESEL Clinical Lead (place-based) provides clinical leadership in designing and delivering improvement resources and support ( Clinical Effectiveness Guides, education) to primary care teams.
CESEL has recently described an ambition to develop a system-wide quality improvement function that reaches beyond general practice.
Main duties of the job

o Lead and shape CESEL support offer to meet the needs of 'place'o Support effective multi-professional / partner working and best-practiceo Provide expertise and leadership in shaping, delivery and maintaining quality improvement support, ensuring best practice, that is mindful and shaped for local population and workforceo Inform the development and utilisation of quality improvement resourceso Understand and navigate systems and place-based challenges,
to inform an effective approach to facilitating quality improvemento Inform and lead the delivery of education for frontline clinical staffo Engage clinical leaderships to inform, localise and enhance quality improvement functions

Qualifications
Essential
Qualified care and / or clinical professional NMC, HCPC, social work register, GMC etc.
Educated to Masters level or equivalent level of experience of working at a senior level in specialist area.
Experience
Essential
- Experience of leading, managing, developing, influencing and inspiring staff.
- Experience of transformational / innovative service delivery, productivity and / or transformation policy implementation.
- Experience of undertaking staff appraisals, identifying professional development needs and performance issues to support key result areas.
- Experience of translating best-practice to inform quality improvement
- Experience of working with a SE London primary care teams in a quality improvement capacity
- Significant experience of providing peer to peer support to reduce variation of care
- Undertaking at least one clinical session of work per month in SE London general practice

- Excellent interpersonal communication (written, oral, presentation, facilitation) networking and negotiating skills with a track record in consistently delivering performance targets
- Ability to analyse numerical and written data, assess options and draw appropriate conclusions
- Able to identify priorities and dependencies in complex situations
