Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver high-quality history lessons that align with the curriculum guidelines.
- Foster an inclusive and supportive classroom environment that promotes student engagement and learning.
- Assess students' academic progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to develop interdisciplinary projects and initiatives.
- Prepare and facilitate extracurricular activities related to history, such as field trips or history clubs.
- Monitor and manage student behaviour to ensure a safe and respectful learning environment.
- Stay up-to-date with current educational trends and strategies for teaching history.
Requirements
- Qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Proven experience teaching history to primary or secondary students.
- Strong subject knowledge and understanding of the national curriculum for history.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of diverse learners.
- Passion for history and inspiring students to develop a love for the subject.
- Organizational skills and the ability to effectively plan and manage lessons and resources.
