Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the English department, providing guidance and support to teachers
- Develop and implement an engaging and comprehensive English curriculum
- Collaborate with other academic leaders to enhance cross-curricular initiatives
- Monitor and assess student progress,
providing feedback and implementing strategies for improvement
- Cultivate a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Ensure effective use of resources and technology within the department
- Maintain open communication with parents regarding students' academic performance
- Stay up-to-date with developments in the field of English education
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in English or a related field
- Teaching certification and relevant teaching experience
- Proven experience as a Head of English or in a similar leadership role
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of the English curriculum
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Ability to inspire and motivate students and staff
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Up-to-date knowledge of current educational trends and best practices
- Passion for English education and a strong commitment to academic excellence
