Job summary

The Children, Young People andMaternity team is made up of three portfolio areas : Children & Young People(SEND / LD / Neuro), Children & Young Peoples Mental Health, and Maternity allworking to improve outcomes for families across Gloucestershire.

We are a largeteam with a range of expertise offering an exciting opportunity for a new teammember to join us as Children& Young Peoples Mental Health Programme Manager (1WTE

Main duties of the job

This is a fantastic opportunity for thesuccessful candidate to flourish in a fast-moving complex environment, workingwith colleagues within our local trusts and wider partnership across the systemwith both clinicians and non-clinicians.







The post-holder will work within theirspecific portfolio area to provide and lead practical support in thedevelopment and execution of programmes and projects of transformationalchange, cost improvement and quality service improvement and redesign.

Job responsibilities

This role is based at Shire Hall inGloucester as well as working remotely from home. Various flexible workingoptions as well as secondments will be considered so please do make contact todiscuss options which might be right for you.

Qualifications

Desirable

Project management accreditation / qualification eg. PRINCE2

Qualifications

Essential

- Knowledge of a range of specific project areas, acquired through post graduate diploma or equivalent experience or training,





plus further specialist project management knowledge or experience to masters level equivalent.
- Experience of managing significant health service development projects.
- Excellent knowledge of best practice in relation to the specific service area and ability to command respect of other clinicians of all disciplines.
- Good knowledge and understanding of local authority processes and political context.
- Experience of managing complex operational and strategic workforce programmes.
- Experience of leading and act upon incomplete information, using experience to make inferences and decision making.
- Numerate and able to understand complex financial issues combined with deep analytical skills.






- Experience of setting up and implementing internal processes and procedures.
- Knowledge of Financial Systems monitoring budget management, processing invoices and procurement.

Desirable

At least 3 years management experience.
