About the Role :
- Delivering engaging and stimulating History lessons across the curriculum, catering to Key Stage 3 (Years 7-8) and potentially Key Stage 4 (Years 9-11)
in line with the National Curriculum.
- Creating a dynamic and well-resourced learning environment that promotes critical thinking, historical analysis skills, and a passion for exploring the past.
- Contributing to the ongoing development of the History curriculum, ensuring it aligns with the school's vision and the latest advancements in historical understanding.
- Building strong relationships with students, fostering their confidence and encouraging a love of historical inquiry.
- Participating in departmental and whole-school events, contributing to the wider school community.
The Ideal Candidate :
- A qualified History teacher with a demonstrable track record of success in engaging students.
- Excellent subject knowledge and a passion for inspiring a love of History and the exploration of the past.
- Strong pedagogical skills and the ability to deliver innovative and effective lessons that cater to diverse learning styles.
