Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver engaging and inclusive drama lessons to primary and secondary students.
- Foster creativity, self-expression, and confidence in students through drama activities and performances.
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan and implement drama curricula that align with the school's goals and objectives.
- Assess and record student progress, providing constructive feedback and support for their development.
- Organize and oversee drama productions, showcases, and other extracurricular activities.
- Maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes respect and teamwork.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding their child's progress and engagement in drama.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Drama or a related field.
- Relevant teaching qualification and / or experience teaching drama to primary and / or secondary students.
- Thorough knowledge of drama techniques, theories, and practices.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
- Enthusiasm for drama and the performing arts, with the ability to inspire and engage students.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Understanding of the national curriculum and assessment frameworks.
