Job summary

We are excited to be recruiting for a highly specialist clinical psychologist to join our amazing Health in Mind service.

We are an enthusiastic and dynamic team of Psychologists who value our professional identity and career progression opportunities that develop the 4 pillars of key skills namely our therapeutic expertise, leadership, education of others and service development within our Health in Mind team, across the medical services we link with and the organisation.

You will work in a dynamic, fast paced, emotive environment with complex and challenging demands working alongside very friendly and supportive psychology colleagues in Health in Mind.







You will contribute to the provision of psychological assessment and intervention to children, young people and families accessing support through the Health in Mind service.

You will also support the management team, leading strategy and development of the Health in Mind service and leading development, innovation and feedback within one of the therapeutic streams.

Main duties of the job

To support the development of work streams, waiting list initiatives and clinical pathways both staff support and within the wider Health in Mind team.

Support the training and development of staff in Health in Mind and across BWC,





delivering the therapeutic interventions to patients and families, teaching and training to provide effective interventions using the tiered model and single session consultation to promote timely care and reduce health inequalities.

Contribute to the leadership and the development of services and pathways both within the Health in Mind team and in the allocated stream of the team

To undertake personal appraisal and continuing professional development as agreed with the line manager including those considered as being mandatory in accordance with Trust policies and procedures.

Act as a role model to colleagues, always seeking to maintain the highest standards of professionalism







Behave consistently with the values and beliefs of the organisation and the team and promote these on a day-to-day basis

Take responsibility for themselves and the quality of their work and the service they provide to patients

To hold a caseload of patients, including children, young people, parents and families.

Lead transformation projects to innovate and improve service delivery.

Qualifications

Essential

- Clinical Psychology Doctorate
- HCPC Practitioner Psychologist Status

Desirable

Leadership or management course

Experience

Essential

- Experience of working with children / adolescents
- Experience of working in an acute physical health setting
- Experience of managing staff and leadership
- Experience of leading in emotional or conflictual situations
- Knowledge of working inclusively with children, young people and their fammilies

Professional

Essential

- Understanding of literature / guidelines






- Ability to prepare business cases and SOPS
- Confidence and experience of using Microsoft systems ( Outlook, Word, Powerpoint, etc.)
- Confidence and experience of using digital platforms to aid communication and connection ( MS Teams, Zoon, AccuRx)
- Confidence and experience using common NHS IT systems ( Electronic Patient Records, Electronic Staff Record

Desirable

Use of IT in undertaking governance and datix reports as needed

Analytical and judgement skills
