About the Role :
We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic PE teacher to join our dynamic department within a thriving secondary school in Hounslow.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping the next generation of physically literate individuals, fostering a love for sports and encouraging healthy lifestyle choices.
- Delivering Engaging PE Lessons : You will be responsible for planning, delivering,
and evaluating engaging and stimulating PE lessons across the curriculum, catering to Key Stage 3 (Years 7-8) and potentially Key Stage 4 (Years 9-11) in line with the National Curriculum.
- Creating a Dynamic Learning Environment :
- You will establish a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes participation, teamwork, and a passion for physical activity for students of all abilities.
- You will utilize innovative teaching methods to cater to diverse learning styles and ensure all students can reach their full potential.
- Curriculum Development : You will contribute to the ongoing development of the PE curriculum, ensuring it aligns with the school's vision, national requirements, and the latest advancements in physical education.
- Building Strong Relationships : You will build strong and positive relationships with students, fostering their confidence in physical activity and encouraging them to develop their skills and sporting potential.
- Extracurricular Activities :
You will play a key role in organizing and leading extracurricular sports clubs and competitions, providing opportunities for students to engage in physical activity beyond the classroom and develop their talents.
- Departmental and Whole-School Events : You will actively participate in departmental and whole-school events, fostering a collaborative spirit and contributing to the wider school community.
The Ideal Candidate :
- A qualified PE teacher with a demonstrable track record of success in engaging students in physical activity.
- Excellent subject knowledge and a passion for inspiring a love of sports and movement in students of all abilities.
- Strong pedagogical skills and the ability to deliver innovative and effective lessons that promote inclusivity and cater to diverse learning styles.
- A commitment to high standards and the ability to create a positive, supportive, and safe learning environment.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
