Job description
We have been instructed on this new in-house position by our client, a leading financial services organisation. Due to business growth, the legal team is currently recruiting for a Legal Counsel to join them in either of its Glasgow or Edinburgh office.
The ideal candidate will have between 1-6 years PQE and demonstrate expertise in commercial contract drafting and negotiation across various business areas, supporting pension, employer, and financial services clients.
Experience within the broader financial services industry and pensions is preferred, while experience within a professional services firm would be advantageous.
Key responsibilities include :
- Developing an understanding of key business areas,
including but not limited to Actuarial, Defined Contribution Consulting, Investment, and emerging areas like Discretionary Fund Management, while assessing their core propositions and risks to deliver tailored solutions.
- Drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and advising on a wide range of commercial contracts for a full spectrum of professional services, including consulting, online, and data services.
- Providing legal support for proposition and client-based projects.
