Job summary
This is a customer service and administrative role and you will undertake a level 2 Customer Service Practitioner apprenticeship whilst working alongside clerical workers, registered professionals and medical staff.
Customer Service Practitioner apprentices play a vital role in the smooth running of the Trust. We have a dedicated team who will support you in your apprenticeship programme.
They will work closely with you and your manager to provide a comprehensive development plan detailing your objectives and workplace goals.
Apprentices who don't already have maths and English grade C / 4 or above (or equivalent) will be required to complete these subjects as part of the apprenticeship programme.
All apprentices will continue to develop maths and English skills as part of their programme of study using BKSB and as part of their on-going coursework.
Main duties of the job
- Undertake a variety of general customer service and admin duties as deemed appropriate & with support from the medical secretaries / other admin roles within the department / s
- Print Winscribe letters and distribute along with filing a copy in the notes
- Regular interaction with internal and external customers using a variety of mediums telephone, email etc.
- Maintain the filing with tracking on Lorenzo, filing in the notes / bring forward file or lever arch file as appropriate
- Clinic filing
- Pulling of notes for clinic prep ie for appointments with the Trust
- Using Lorenzo to track in and track out notes
- Maintain confidentiality at all times in line with the Data Protection Act 1998.
- Using Birmingham Children's Hospital computer programmes and systems
