We are delighted to collaborate with an Ofsted-rated Outstanding secondary school in Kingston as they seek a dedicated and passionate English Teacher to join their exceptional English department.
This full-time, permanent position offers a unique opportunity to inspire young minds and cultivate a lifelong love of language and literature.
Position Overview :
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering a stimulating and enriching English curriculum to students across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
You will play a pivotal role in fostering students' critical thinking skills, communication abilities, and appreciation for the written word.
Key Responsibilities :
- Design and deliver engaging English lessons that align with the national curriculum and the school's high standards.
- Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and fosters intellectual curiosity.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their academic growth.
- Collaborate with colleagues within the English department and across the school to enhance the overall quality of teaching and learning.
Qualifications and Experience :
- A Bachelor's degree in English or a related field.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
- Demonstrated experience teaching English at the secondary level, preferably across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
Ideal Candidate :
- A passion for English language and literature, with the ability to inspire and motivate students.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- A commitment to ongoing professional development and staying abreast of current educational trends.
