We are currently working with our client, Royal London Seeking a Senior Finance Manager on a 6mth Day Rate Contract based in London. Please note this is a Hybrid Working Model with 50/50 office presence.

Purpose of the Role:
The team ensures the month end close occurs on a timely basis and that the ledger and sub-ledgers contain accurate financial information ready for use by other teams within RLAM Finance and the wider business.
The purpose of the Senior Finance Manager role is to manage the finance operations team on a daily basis and ensure that the end-to-end accounts receivable process is carried out on an accurate and timely basis and that the ledger and sub-ledgers contain accurate information which can be used by other members of Finance and the wider business.
Responsibilities of the role:
As the Senior Finance Manager, you will;
- Create a vision for the Finance Operations team and manage the performance of the Finance Operations team to deliver this.
- Manage the end-to-end accounts receivable process, ensuring the accuracy of all client invoicing. Manage the preparation of costs, ensuring the accuracy of underlying data.
- Be accountable for the month-end close process including accruals, prepayments and journal approvals.
- Review and approve balance sheet reconciliations.
- Review and approve rebate payments processed by outsourced suppliers.
- Manage and review internal reporting to ensure that revenue and costs are understood and over to internal finance stakeholders each month.
- Ensure that the team responds to queries provides high quality insight and analysis to other teams within finance.
- Work alongside the Statutory Accounting Team to ensure the audit is managed effectively.
- Lead initiatives to improve the financial control framework for the Finance function.
- Manage risk and control oversight processes such as the monthly RCSA process.
What we require from the candidate:
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA).
- Accounting and revenue experience gained within the asset management industry.
- Strong Excel skills essential.
- Demonstratable experience of improving existing processes and developing new processes.
- Experience of Oracle ledger would be an advantage.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work to tight deadlines, taking ownership and responsibility.
- Willingness to challenge and contribute to change.
- Thorough approach and attention to detail.
- Manage relationships effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
