The Department:
The Dispute Resolution Family Team handles a wide variety of family legal matters, including divorce, financial settlements, pre-nuptial agreements, child custody arrangements, and cohabitation disputes. The team is known for its collaborative approach and dedication to delivering outstanding client service, which has earned it recognition in leading legal directories and family law rankings.
The Role:
This is an exciting opportunity for a newly qualified solicitor to join the Family Group in their London office and work alongside experienced Partners and Associates. You will take on a diverse caseload under supervision, covering areas such as divorce, financial disputes, matrimonial arbitration/mediation, and more. This role is perfect for someone looking to build their expertise in family law while being part of a close-knit, supportive team.
You will be involved in:
- Managing your own caseload and fee targets with appropriate supervision.
- Supporting Associates and Partners on more complex matters.
- Developing strong working relationships with clients and team members.
- Participating in group meetings and internal training sessions to continuously grow your legal skills.
- Assisting with marketing and business development initiatives, such as writing for newsletters or attending seminars.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Newly Qualified Solicitor with a focus or experience in family law.
- Some exposure to divorce, matrimonial finance disputes, pre-nuptial agreements, and child-related matters is desirable.
- A solid understanding of family-related legislation and case law.
- A proactive and enthusiastic individual with a commitment to delivering exceptional client care.
- Strong time management and organisational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, providing support to more senior colleagues as needed.
